The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 29 in Lagos. Mikel, who plays for Chelsea, is among 22 nominees for various categories, with Paralympic gold medalist Yakubu Adesokan and basketball player Ike Diogu also mentioned. The winners will be determined through public votes via an SMS system established by the Organizing Committee.
