Nigeria coach Eric Chelle has dismissed interest from Angola and Gabon, reaffirming his commitment to remain in charge of the Super Eagles.

Despite pressure surrounding his future following Nigeria’s failure to reach the AFCON final, the coach’s contract runs until 2027, and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has publicly backed him.

Reports suggest that the only way Chelle would have left the role was by his own choice, but he has instead chosen to stay, turning down attractive offers from both Angola and Gabon.

Chelle has set his sights on leading Nigeria to the 2027 AFCON title after guiding the team to a third-place finish in the recent tournament.

He has already informed the NFF of his intention to continue in the role.

The Super Eagles will learn their next AFCON group-stage opponents during the draw scheduled for the March international window.
