Niger defender Abdoul Kader Rafiu Kassali joins unattached ranks after Al-Nasiriyah FC exit

Niger defender Abdoul Kader Rafiu Kassali has left Al-Nasiriyah FC and joined the ranks of unattached players following his departure on 3 August 2026.

The 27-year-old’s exit brings his time in Iraq to an end after one season with Al-Nasiriyah FC. Kassali joined the club from Nigerien side AS GNN on 7 September 2025, having previously represented USGN.

Kassali is a defender and has recorded two appearances in the CAF Champions League during his career, playing 180 minutes in the competition. His career record also includes involvement in the Iraq FA Cup during his time in the country.

Before moving to Iraq, Kassali spent the 2024-25 season with AS GNN after switching from USGN on 1 July 2024. His departure from Al-Nasiriyah FC was completed on 3 August, with the Niger international now listed without a club.

Kassali, who was born on 30 September 1998, leaves Al-Nasiriyah FC after one season and is now available as an unattached defender.
