Ngapandouetnbu making strong start at Montpellier after leaving OM

Simon Ngapandouetnbu has emerged as one of the early-season success stories at Montpellier, with the Cameroon goalkeeper making six appearances and keeping four clean sheets.

The 23-year-old, formerly of OM, has established himself as a dependable presence in the Montpellier goal. His consistent performances and ability to keep opponents out have increased confidence in the Herault club’s defence.

Ngapandouetnbu’s progress could eventually revive Marseille’s interest. According to InformaTreize, OM retained a priority clause that would allow them to buy the goalkeeper back under the terms of his contract.

That provision could become significant if the goalkeeper continues his current run of form. Ngapandouetnbu was also included on Le Mans FC’s shortlist several months ago, a move first reported exclusively by Africafoot.

The Cameroon goalkeeper is contracted to Montpellier until June 2028 and is currently valued at 2.5 million euros by Transfermarkt. Continued improvement in his performances could see that figure rise quickly and make him a player closely watched during the next transfer windows.
