Newcastle United target Senegal star Lamine Camara ahead of winter window
Senegal international Lamine Camara has emerged as a priority target for Premier League outfit Newcastle United ahead of the winter transfer window.
The Magpies are seeking to strengthen their midfielder in the upcoming window, with Camara, who plies his trade for Monaco emerging as the priority target for the club.
However, Newcastle United, have discussed a potential move for the talented Senegalese midfielder. Whilst there have been no official talks with Les Monégasques, the Magpies have considered a move internally for the 21-year-old midfielder.
Camara has impressed since he joined Monaco from Brest, making 36 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring 2 goals and registering 8 assists.
Meanwhile, the Senegal midfielder is not to be the only player on the wishlist of ahead of the winter window, with AZ Alkmaar’s Kees Smit, Valencia’s Javi Guerra, and Leicester’s Bilal El Khannouss all on their shortlist.
Camara is expected to join the Senegal national team for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be staged in Morocco between December 2025 and January 2026.
