Newcastle United step up winger hunt as Anis Hadj Moussa and Abde Ezzalzouli emerge as key targets

Newcastle United are stepping up their efforts to sign a creative winger before the transfer window closes, with the club determined to give Matthias Jaissle another attacking option for the new season.

Hadj Moussa keen on Premier League move

Newcastle have already conducted preliminary checks into the conditions of a potential deal for Hadj Moussa, while sources close to the situation indicate the Algeria international would be highly interested in moving to the Premier League.

The 23-year-old has attracted attention with his pace, dribbling ability and creativity, qualities Newcastle believe could add a different dimension to Jaissle’s attack. Hadj Moussa has also established himself at international level, earning 18 caps for Algeria.

Ezzalzouli remains firmly on radar

Newcastle have also maintained regular contact with Ezzalzouli, who continues to feature prominently on their list of attacking targets.

The Moroccan international is another player believed to be enthusiastic about the possibility of joining the Magpies, and sources indicate Newcastle could still prise him away from Betis before the transfer window shuts.

Interest in Ezzalzouli is not new, with Newcastle having explored the possibility of signing him since May amid concerns over the future of Anthony Gordon.

Fernandez-Pardo talks hit valuation roadblock

Newcastle have also been negotiating with Lille over Matias Fernandez-Pardo, but their pursuit has hit an obstacle after the French club rejected an initial offer and placed a substantial valuation on the Belgium international.

Fernandez-Pardo can operate on either wing but was used more frequently through the middle by Lille last season, giving Newcastle another versatile option as they consider their final moves.

With the deadline approaching, Newcastle’s priority is now firmly on adding attacking quality rather than losing more players.

The club have also made clear they would only consider a world-record fee for Lewis Hall, a stance that has reportedly prompted Manchester United to explore five alternative left-back targets.
