Newcastle United interested in signing England-Ghanaian defender Jarell Quansah

Jarell Quansah

English Premier League side, Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing England defender of Ghanaian descent, Jarell Quansah.

Information gathered indicates that the Magpies are ready to pay as much as £30 million in the summer transfer window to secure the services of the centre-back.

Jarell Quansah, 22, since making his debut appearance for Liverpool has continued to grow and develop.

His impressive performances at the club earned him a call-up to the England squad in the March international break.

Checks have revealed that Quansah currently has four years remaining on his contract with Liverpool.

He only signed an extension deal with the Reds in October 2024 and is regarded as a key defender at his club.

That notwithstanding, Newcastle United are tracking the youngster and will tempt Liverpool with an offer at the end of the season.

While Liverpool is expected to play ball, the club is likely to consider transferring the defender if the Magpies offer a sweet deal.

At the end of the day, Jarrel Quansah will have a decision to make in the summer when Newcastle United approaches.
