Newcastle United are continuing to track AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori as they assess options to strengthen their defence in future transfer windows.

According to Football Insider, the 28-year-old remains on Newcastle’s list of targets. The club had previously been linked with Tomori during last summer’s transfer window and is still monitoring his situation at AC Milan.

Tomori, an England international of Nigerian heritage and a former Chelsea player, could leave the Rossoneri at the end of the season. His contract is due to expire in June 2027, leaving uncertainty over his long-term future in Milan.

Several Premier League clubs are reportedly watching developments and could consider making a move if Tomori becomes available on a free transfer. Newcastle may seek to take advantage of his contract situation to negotiate a lower-cost deal, although competition could be considerable if he is still available without a transfer fee in summer 2027.

Tomori is valued at €10m by Transfermarkt. He made 37 appearances in all competitions during the previous campaign but has struggled to secure regular playing time since the start of the current season.

The defender recently returned to the starting line-up for AC Milan’s Europa League match against Red Bull Salzburg, but he has yet to establish himself as a consistent first-choice player.

Bournemouth are due to face AC Milan in their third match of the Europa League league phase.
