Newcastle United is reportedly making a serious push to sign Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, with a €55 million bid in preparation as they attempt to outmaneuver other European clubs interested in the talented Cameroonian international. Football Insider reports that Newcastle has prioritized Mbeumo as a key addition to bolster their attacking options, hoping to clinch the deal amid rising interest from clubs across Europe.

However, Brentford has reportedly set a firm price tag of £60 million (€70 million) on Mbeumo, significantly higher than Newcastle’s anticipated bid.

The right winger, whose current contract with Brentford runs through June 2026, has an estimated market value of €40 million, although his performances this season have likely contributed to the increased valuation.

His salary with the Premier League club is reported to be €2.66 million annually, reflecting his rising status in the league.

Mbeumo has drawn considerable attention from several top clubs beyond Newcastle.

Liverpool and Napoli are also reportedly tracking the 25-year-old, and other high-profile European teams are keeping him on their radar as the January transfer window approaches.

This season, Mbeumo has delivered an impressive eight goals and one assist across 13 appearances in all competitions, highlighting his scoring ability and consistency on the pitch.

While Newcastle appears eager to secure Mbeumo, the competition from rival clubs, as well as Brentford’s valuation, could make negotiations challenging.

Brentford is aware of Mbeumo’s importance to their squad and may be reluctant to part with a player who has become integral to their attacking force.

For Newcastle, acquiring Mbeumo could strengthen their offensive lineup significantly, adding versatility and depth to their squad as they compete both domestically and in Europe.

As speculation grows, Mbeumo’s future remains uncertain, but his impressive form and increasing demand make him one of the most sought-after players in the upcoming transfer window.
