Moussa Sissoko Reflects on Successful Adaptation at Newcastle

In a recent interview with the official Toulouse FC website, Moussa Sissoko shared his thoughts on his move to Newcastle United, highlighting how smooth his transition has been since arriving in England.

🇬🇧 Life in the Premier League

Sissoko, who joined the Magpies from Toulouse in 2013, revealed he had anticipated that the Premier League would suit his style:

“Before coming, I already thought that England would be a championship that would suit me best, and I wasn’t wrong. Every weekend I blossom, and it’s very good for me.”

🗣️ French Support in the Squad

One key factor that helped him settle quickly was the strong French contingent at Newcastle at the time:

“It’s clear that the fact there are a lot of French people made my integration easier. When I arrived, I didn’t speak the language at all… so obviously the French colony in Newcastle helped me a lot.”

⚽ Early Impact on the Pitch

Sissoko also looked back proudly on his immediate impact in English football:

“In my first match, we won against Chelsea and I was lucky to score. In the third match, against Tottenham, I made an assist.”

💪 A Mindset Focused on Growth

Despite the promising start, Sissoko remains focused on development:

“Now I’m continuing to work as I’ve always done, trying to improve every day because I know I still have progress to make.”

Sissoko’s combination of humility, determination, and adaptability has clearly helped him establish himself as a key figure at Newcastle, marking a positive chapter in his career after leaving Ligue 1.
