Newcastle considering signing English-Ghanaian defender Jarell Quansah from Liverpool

English-born Ghanaian defender Jarell Quansah has emerged as a top transfer target for Premier League outfit Newcastle United.

The Magpies are seeking to strengthen their squad ahead of next season, with the English-Ghanaian youngster, who plies his trade for Liverpool popping up on their wishlist.

Newcastle United are reportedly considering two centre-backs for the new season and has set sights on Quansah, who is yet to earn a regular spot in the Liverpool set up despite showing glimpses of good performances.

Quansah is on the list of Newcastle United there have not been any negotiation yet regarding a transfer in the summer.

Currently, Newcastle is in sixth place in the Premier League table. After 28 rounds, the team has accumulated 47 points, trailing two points behind fourth place and one point behind fifth.

The 22-year-old has made 22 appearances for Liverpool this season across competitions.

His current contract with Liverpool is expected to elapse in the summer of 2029.
