“It’s time to look elsewhere for a new challenge. There have been contacts with Arsenal and a Russian club, but I prefer to stay in England.”
This suggests that Tioté is open to a move — particularly within the Premier League — and has even confirmed interest from Arsenal and an unnamed Russian club.
While nothing has been finalized, Newcastle are reportedly asking for €20 million for the Ivorian midfielder. Given this public expression of interest and ongoing negotiations, a January transfer window move is a real possibility.
