Lassaad Dridi, the newly appointed head coach of Club Sportif Sfaxien, will begin his tenure on Tuesday by leading his first training session with the team.
The match against Simba SC on Monday night, which ended in a 1-0 defeat for Sfaxien, marked the final game for interim coach Olivier Perrin.
Perrin will now return to his role as the technical director of youth development.
The loss to Simba SC, which resulted in early elimination from the CAF Cup despite two group-stage matches still remaining, highlighted the club’s struggles.
Lassaad Dridi, who previously coached CS Sfaxien from November 2017 to February 2018, is returning to the club at 47 years old with a mission to steer the team back on course.
He was present in the stands at the Olympique de Radès during the defeat to Simba SC and will begin his duties on Tuesday, focusing on guiding the squad through the remainder of the season.
