Ghanaian international striker Matthew Amoah wasted no time making an impact with his new team, Heracles Almelo. After the end of his contract with SC Heerenveen, Amoah signed a one-season contract with Heracles on Saturday.
He was immediately fielded the next day for the first day of the Dutch championship, where he scored the only goal for his team. Despite his efforts, Heracles Almelo suffered a 3-1 defeat on the road against Vitesse Arnhem, Wilfried Bony’s former team.
