Nene Gbamble: Ivory Coast winger joins Ironi Tiberias on free transfer

Nene Gbamble, the 24-year-old Ivory Coast right winger, has joined Israeli club Ironi Tiberias from Qatar’s Al-Kharaitiyat on a free transfer.

Gbamble has signed a contract with Ironi Tiberias running until 30 June 2027, completing his move on 14 August 2026. He will play in Israel’s Ligat ha’Al after leaving Al-Kharaitiyat, where he had been competing in the Qatari Second Division.

The right-footed attacker made five appearances in the Qatari Second Division, scoring once and playing 321 minutes. His arrival gives Ironi Tiberias a winger capable of operating on the right side, with his preferred foot matching the position.

Gbamble’s spell at Al-Kharaitiyat followed a free transfer from Kazakhstan side Qyzyljar in February 2026. He had also spent time in Russia, Ukraine and Slovenia during a career that has included moves between several European and Middle Eastern leagues.

He joined Qyzyljar from Torpedo Moscow without a transfer fee after returning from a loan spell at Shinnik. Before his move to Torpedo Moscow, Gbamble had played for Akhmat Grozny, who signed him from Slovenian club NK Celje on a free transfer in January 2023.

His earlier career included spells with Olimpik Donetsk and Rubikon. Gbamble began his senior career with Rubikon before moving to Olimpik Donetsk in 2021, then completing a free transfer to NK Celje the following season.

Across the recorded competitions of his career, the winger has also scored in Ukraine’s Premier Liga, the Ukrainian Cup and Qatar’s Second Division, while registering assists in those competitions as well as in Russia’s Premier Liga, Kazakhstan’s top flight and the Russian Cup. His statistics include three goals and three assists in 21 appearances in the Prva Liga, alongside two assists in 18 appearances in the Persha Liga.

Ironi Tiberias have secured Gbamble’s services without a transfer fee, with the Ivory Coast winger now tied to the club until the end of June 2027.
