Nejc Gradišar is already winning hearts in Tunisia, not just with his feet, but with his words.
The Slovenian forward, who plays for Al Ahly, spoke with purpose after the club’s friendly against Stade Tunisien, reflecting on the road ahead.
“The atmosphere in the Tunisia camp is exceptional, especially the high temperatures, which add to the challenge and contribute to good physical preparation for the new season, which will be difficult and long, with competition for all the championships we seek to win.”
The striker praised his teammate Mohamed Sherif’s brace, calling him a key asset to the squad. “His presence represents a strong addition to the team,” he noted. On handing over the number 10 shirt, Gradišar stressed that it’s the performance, not the number, that counts.
He added, “We still have a lot of work to do… so that we can start the season in the best possible way.”
Gradišar ended with a promise: “We promise the fans that we will give our best and fight to win every trophy.”
