National Bank sign Brazilian winger Anderson Ceara on three-year deal

National Bank have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Anderson Ceara from Romanian club FK Csikszereda as part of their preparations for the 2026-27 season.

The Egyptian club confirmed that Ceara, 27, has agreed a three-year contract. FilGoal.com had previously reported that National Bank had reached an agreement with FK Csikszereda to bring the player to Egypt.

Ceara joined the Romanian side in 2024 after his contract with Santos came to an end. He had been under contract with FK Csikszereda until the summer of 2028, but National Bank have now secured his services ahead of the new Egyptian Premier League campaign.

The Brazilian has featured in all four of FK Csikszereda’s league matches this season. He has not scored or registered an assist in those appearances.

FK Csikszereda currently sit bottom of the Romanian league table, having collected no points from their opening four games.

Across his time with the Romanian club, Ceara made 86 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing 16 assists. The winger previously played for several Brazilian clubs, including Santos, Santa Cruz and Maringa.

National Bank are preparing for the start of the Egyptian Premier League season, with their opening fixture scheduled against Abu Qir Fertilizers on Friday, 21 August.

The signing is the latest addition to the squad as National Bank build their team for the 2026-27 campaign. Ceara’s experience in both Brazilian and Romanian football is expected to add another attacking option to the club’s squad.

His arrival follows a spell at FK Csikszereda that began in 2024, when he moved to Romania after leaving Santos. Although the team have struggled at the start of the current league season, Ceara has remained involved in each of their first four matches.

National Bank’s first test of the new Egyptian Premier League season will come against Abu Qir Fertilizers on 21 August, with the club looking to begin the campaign positively.
