Head coach of National Bank SC, Ayman El-Ramadi, has said that his outfit aiming at competing for the Egyptian Premier League title after sharing spoils with Al Ahly in a high-stake clash.
The highly competitive clash, held at the Cairo International Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night, with both teams securing a point.
National Bank went to the halftime break with the advantage after Mostafa Shalaby broke the deadlock in the 11th-minute mark.
Ten minutes to full time, the Egyptian giants pulled parity through highly-rated attacker Mahmoud Trezeguet. Both teams searched for the match-winner in the dyeing embers of the match, but neither could find a decisive breakthrough as the game ended in a draw.
At the post-match conference, Ayman El-Ramadi reiterated his outfit desire to compete for the league title this season.
“Facing Al-Ahly is certainly difficult, whatever the circumstances, and I thank my team’s players for their efforts throughout the match and for playing with utmost courage.”

National Bank have accumulated 21 points after 15 matches into the season, placing them ninth on the league standings.
