National Bank of Egypt manager Ayman El Ramady has announced the death of striker Osama Faisal’s father and offered his support to the 25-year-old Egypt international.

El Ramady shared a message on Facebook expressing his condolences to Faisal and his family.

“With great sadness and sorrow, we received the news of the death of the father of our son Osama Faisal,” he wrote. “May God strengthen his heart and the hearts of his family and relatives, and grant them patience and solace.”

The National Bank of Egypt manager added: “Our dear son, your loss is our loss, and we are here beside you whenever you need us. I ask God to give you the strength to get through these difficult days.”

Faisal joined National Bank of Egypt on a permanent basis in the summer of 2024 after moving from Zamalek, having previously spent three seasons on loan.

He missed the club’s opening three matches of this season before making his first appearance in their most recent fixture against Ghazl El Mahalla.

The forward made an immediate impact, scoring twice as National Bank of Egypt secured a 3-1 victory. Faisal also wears the club’s captain’s armband.

Faisal has won 16 international caps for Egypt and was included in the country’s squad for the most recent Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in January.

National Bank of Egypt are 10th in the league table with six points from four matches, having recorded two wins and two defeats.

Their next fixture is against Ceramica Cleopatra on Monday in the fifth round of the league.
