National Bank exited the Cairo Capital Cup after a goalless draw with Al Ismaili on Monday evening in the penultimate round of Group Two.
The match, played under coach Ayman El Ramadi’s management, saw limited scoring opportunities throughout the encounter.
The game’s pivotal moment came late, when rising player Adel Seif received a red card in the 90+6th minute, dramatically shifting momentum in the closing stages. Despite playing with reduced numbers, National Bank managed to secure the draw but couldn’t muster the attacking prowess needed for victory.
With this result, National Bank accumulated seven points, finishing fourth in their group. Meanwhile, Al Ismaili, guided by Algerian coach Miloud Hamdi, climbed to five points and fifth place. Petrojet leads the standings with twelve points, while Al Gouna sits second, two points clear.
Wadi Degla holds third with seven points. The tournament features 21 Egyptian league clubs divided across three groups, with the top finishers advancing to the quarterfinals.
