After a tense fallout, midfielder Nasser Maher is back in action at Zamalek.
Maher joined the team’s training session on Monday ahead of their Premier League clash with Al-Masry, set for 1 May at the Army Stadium in Borg El Arab.
His return came on the heels of an apology to head coach Jose Peseiro and the coaching team following a heated moment in the previous game. Maher had refused to sit on the bench during the match against Border Guard, prompting club official Abdel Wahed El Sayed to suspend him and launch an investigation.
With tensions now eased, Maher went through both physical and technical drills alongside his teammates. His return adds depth to the squad as Zamalek gears up for a crucial stage of the season.
The club remains focused on making a strong finish in the final round of the Premier League. For now, Maher seems to have turned the page, rejoining the group with full commitment.
Whether he features in the matchday squad against Al-Masry remains to be seen.
