Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has confirmed the club’s interest in Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi, who was born in Germany but has Nigerian heritage.

The 21-year-old attacker has been linked with a potential move to the Serie A champions during the ongoing winter transfer window. Reports from Corriere dello Sport suggest that Liverpool is also monitoring Adeyemi but may consider him a priority for the summer transfer window instead.

Speaking to DAZN, Manna addressed the rumors, stating, “Garnacho and Adeyemi are two players we like, but they are not the only ones. We are exploring opportunities and evaluating options. However, we will not pay more than the market value for any player.”

Manna emphasized Napoli’s approach to strengthening the squad, particularly following the departure of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. “We are committed to improving the team but remain focused on maintaining a balanced strategy, not only with signings but also with salary structures,” he added.

Adeyemi has been in solid form this season, scoring five goals in 14 appearances across all competitions. His performances have attracted interest from top European clubs, making him one of the standout talents of the transfer market.
