Napoli are reportedly forcing Nigeria international Victor Osimhen to reconsider a move to Saudi Arabia giants Al Hilal in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Osimhen is set for a permanent departure from the Serie A champions, with a host of clubs expressing interest in the attacker including Galatasaray.
The 26-year-old forward spent last season on loan at Turkish club, appearing in 41 matches across all competitions, scoring 37 goals and providing 8 assists.
With Osimhen turning down several offers from the Saudi giants over the past period including an annual salary of €50 million, the club is reported to have withdrawn from the race.
However, Napoli is piling pressure Osimhen to consider Al Hilal’s more financially valuable offer, but the enterprising attacker is said to have rejected the idea.
Osimhen prefers to remain in Europe and feels that Galatasaray is the right place for him to continue his career.
Currently, talks are still ongoing between Napoli and Galatasaray, with the Italian club demanding €55 million immediately and €20 million in installments.
Osimhen has been playing for Napoli since 2020 and is contracted to the Italian team until the summer of 2026.
