Cameroonian forward Naomi Eto has signed a six-month contract with EA Guingamp, marking her first move to European football after a standout performance at the 2024 U20 Women’s World Cup.
The 20-year-old scored four goals, helping Cameroon reach the round of 16 for the first time.
Despite sharing a surname with football legend Samuel Eto’o, Naomi has no relation to him but possesses the same goal-scoring instinct and determination.
Trained at the Roger Milla Academy before excelling at Amazones FAP, she has become one of Cameroon’s top attacking talents.
Guingamp, struggling in D1 Arkema, hopes Eto will provide a much-needed boost to their attack.
Excited about the challenge, she said, “Playing in France will allow me to progress and learn from great players.
I want to give the best of myself to help Guingamp achieve its goals.
With aspirations to become a key figure for Cameroon’s senior team, Eto’s European journey is just beginning, and fans eagerly await her impact.
