In their last match of the year at Beaujoire, Nantes suffered a 1-2 defeat to Toulouse. Despite a passionate audience, the Canaries were outmatched by Toulouse, and the loss could potentially see them lose their 4th place on the podium to Marseille. The first half was spectacular but goalless, and in the second half, Didot and Akpa-Akpro scored for Toulouse. Nantes, attempting a comeback, managed a beautiful goal by their defender Papy Djilobodji towards the end of the match. Djilobodji’s goal was his third of the season, showcasing his scoring abilities.
