Nana Boateng transfer news: Ghana midfielder linked with Cyprus move to Krasava ENY

Ghanaian midfielder Nana Boateng, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Cyprus League side Krasava ENY.

The 32-year-old defensive midfielder left Romanian club Petrolul on 1 July, having joined them on a free transfer in January 2026. He made his most recent move after spending the previous season without a club following his departure from South Korean side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

Boateng’s spell at Jeonbuk ended after he helped the club win the South Korean league and cup double in the 2024-25 season. He made 36 appearances in K League 1 during his time in South Korea, scoring once and providing one assist.

His career also includes domestic championship success in Romania with CFR Cluj in 2021-22, Norway with Strømsgodset in 2013 and Finland with Kuopion Palloseura in 2021. He has recorded 51 appearances in Romania’s top flight, along with 86 in Norway’s Eliteserien.

Boateng began his senior career after coming through Manchester City’s youth system and later played in Major League Soccer with Colorado, before spells in Finland, Romania, South Korea and back in Romania with Petrolul.

Krasava ENY’s reported interest would take the Ghanaian to the Cyprus League as he considers his next club after leaving Petrolul. No agreement has been confirmed, and Boateng remains without a club.
