Namibia name Peter Shalulile in starting XI for Congo qualifier

Namibia have named captain Peter Shalulile in their starting line-up for Thursday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo.

The Group G fixture, being played on 24 September, sees the Brave Warriors host the match on Botswana soil as they begin their campaign. Congo arrive with a side featuring several players accustomed to international football.

Namibia head coach Collin Benjamin has selected a number of his experienced players from the start. Shalulile, who plays for Young Africans, leads the attack, with Deon Hotto also included in the forward line.

Aprocius Petrus, Riaan Hanamub and Charles Hambira are among the other players named in the starting XI.
