According to reports from Footmercato, the former Olympique de Marseille youth product has recently joined Romanian club Cluj: “CFR 1907 Cluj Club II welcomes Algerian player Najib Ammari, born April 10, 1992,” as stated on the Romanian team’s official website.
Ammari was once regarded as one of the most promising talents in the Olympique de Marseille academy. Often likened to Hatem Ben Arfa for his skill on the ball, Ammari ultimately made the difficult decision to depart Marseille. After signing his first professional contract and a loan spell at Rouen (National) last season, the playmaker, aspiring to represent the Algerian national team, sought to reignite his career on the shores of the Black Sea.
