Nabil Jaadi Joins Udinese from Anderlecht
Nabil Jaadi has made the move from Anderlecht to Serie A, signing a five-year contract with Italian club Udinese. The 18-year-old Moroccan winger, who was trained at Anderlecht, has been a standout performer for the club’s youth teams, helping secure the Viareggio Cup in 2013 and finishing as a runner-up in 2014.
Jaadi, who had been with Anderlecht since 2012, signed a three-year contract but struggled to break into the first team. Despite interest from top clubs like Arsenal and several French teams, the Moroccan international chose Udinese due to their proven track record of developing young talent.
In an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, Jaadi explained his decision: “Udinese has a lot of experience with young players, whereas at Arsenal I had no guarantee of being in the first team. At Udinese, I will be playing alongside great players and I will have the opportunity to progress. I will do everything to earn my place in the team.”
Jaadi’s move marks the beginning of his Serie A journey, where he hopes to develop further and make his mark in one of Europe’s top leagues.
