It’s fantastic news that Nabil Fekir has officially joined the professional squad of Olympique Lyonnais and signed his first professional contract with the club. The young attacking midfielder, of Franco-Algerian origin, has been rewarded for his progress and hard work, having proven himself in the CFA.
At nearly 20 years old, Fekir’s commitment to Olympique Lyonnais extends until June 2016. In an interview with OL-TV, he expressed his gratitude and determination, stating, “I think I have a lot of mentality, I worked hard in training and I didn’t give up. Today I am rewarded. This three-year contract gives me time to work, I hope to find a place in this professional team. OL is my favorite club, and I really dream of playing at Gerland.”
Fekir’s journey, from his short passage through pre-training to his return to OL and subsequent signing of a one-year trainee contract, reflects his dedication and talent. Being considered one of the club’s great hopes, he is now set to embark on a new phase in his career with Olympique Lyonnais.
