Tunisian tactician Nabil El Kouki is set to lead Egyptian side Al-Masry in the upcoming season, marking his first coaching spell in Egypt’s top flight.
The club confirmed his appointment on Monday following his departure from Algerian side ES Setif.
El Kouki, 55, signed a one-year deal with the Port Said-based club and is expected to arrive on Tuesday for formal meetings with management.
With a career that spans over a decade, El Kouki brings a wealth of experience from stints across North Africa and the Middle East. He has coached top Tunisian clubs like CS Sfaxien, Club Africain, Stade Tunisien, and CA Bizertin, while also managing Al-Hilal Omdurman in Sudan, Ahly Bordj Bou Arreridj, and ES Setif in Algeria, as well as spells in Libya and Jordan.
His most notable success came in 2022–2023 when he guided CR Belouizdad to the Algerian league title.
El Kouki now becomes the third Tunisian coach to lead Al-Masry, following Mouin Chaabani and Anis Boujelban.
