President of the Djiboutian Football Federation, Waberi Souleiman Hassan, has reacted to his election as a member of the FIFA Council.
The Vice President of CAF was elected to serve as a member of the FIFA Council as a representative of CAF on Wednesday, March 12, during the General Assembly of the continent’s governing body.
In a post on social media after his election, Waberi Souleiman Hassan indicated that it is proof that the size of a country does not define its greatness.
He argued that it shows how determination, commitment and passion can take one far in life.
“After the African Union. Today, Djibouti, a small nation, but today makes its voice heard at the highest level of world football. My election to the FIFA Committee is proof that the size of a country does not define its greatness, but its determination, commitment and passion.
“Thank you for your trust. The work begins now,” Waberi Souleiman said in his post on X.
