Musa Bashar: Nigerian striker joins Niger Tornadoes on free transfer from Kanemi Warriors
Nigerian centre-forward Musa Bashar has joined Niger Tornadoes on a free transfer from Kanemi Warriors, strengthening the NPFL side’s attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
The 20-year-old, a left-footed striker, makes the switch after a short spell with Kanemi Warriors, where he arrived from Sokoto United at the start of 2026. His move to Niger Tornadoes is a permanent deal following the expiry of his terms with the Maiduguri club.
Bashar has already had a taste of top-flight football, featuring in the Nigeria Premier Football League last season. He made 14 league appearances, scoring twice and providing one assist, with his goals coming at an average of a strike every 627 minutes across 1,254 minutes of action. His current market valuation is listed at €25,000.
Born on 10 January 2006, Bashar fits the profile of a developing centre-forward who has already shown he can handle the demands of senior football in Nigeria’s top division. His ability to operate through the middle and finish with his stronger left foot offers Tornadoes an additional dimension in the final third.
Niger Tornadoes will now look to integrate Bashar into their squad following his arrival, with the forward officially joining the club on 24 July 2026.
