Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso, aged 23, has signed a four-year contract with Rubin Kazan, according to an announcement by Espanyol Barcelona. The move marks Wakaso’s departure from Espanyol after a single season, during which he played 26 La Liga matches. His new contract with Rubin Kazan is expected to last until 2007.
This move to Rubin Kazan signifies Wakaso’s entry into the Russian championship, while simultaneously, Samuel Eto’o has departed Anzhi to join the English championship with Chelsea under the management of José Mourinho.
