Senegalese defender Moustapha Mbow opens up on Paris FC future
Senegalese defender Moustapha Mbow has revealed his long-term ambitions while insisting he remains fully committed to Paris FC after an impressive season with the French club.
The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the standout defenders in the league following a series of strong performances for the Parisian side.
His consistency, defensive discipline and reliability have made him an essential figure in the team throughout the campaign.
Mbow’s displays have not gone unnoticed, with the former Reims player gradually earning recognition as one of the defensive revelations of the season in French football.
Despite the growing attention surrounding his performances, the Senegalese international has chosen to remain cautious when discussing his future.
Speaking to L’Équipe, the defender reaffirmed his desire to continue progressing with Paris FC, where he remains under contract until June 2028.
“I want to develop at the highest level here,” said the defender, highlighting his admiration for the club’s progress and ambitions.
The comments reflect Mbow’s attachment to Paris FC and his appreciation for the opportunities he has received since becoming a central figure in the squad.
His performances this season have helped strengthen the club defensively while also increasing his own reputation within Ligue 1.
However, the Senegalese defender also admitted that ambitions of playing in Europe’s biggest leagues remain part of his career goals.
Like many African footballers competing in France, Mbow acknowledged the attraction of the Premier League and Bundesliga.
“Everyone dreams of playing in the Premier League or the Bundesliga,” he admitted.
Although he remains focused on Paris FC for now, the statement is likely to fuel further speculation regarding his long-term future.
Interest in the defender is expected to continue growing if he maintains the same level of performance next season.
For Paris FC, keeping hold of such an influential player could become increasingly difficult as his profile rises. Mbow’s combination of consistency and experience has made him one of the club’s most valuable assets during the current campaign.
While no immediate departure appears to be planned, the Senegalese defender’s latest remarks underline both his loyalty to Paris FC and his ambition to eventually test himself at the highest level of European football.
