Moussa Marega is set to leave Sharjah FC as his contract with the UAE Pro League club comes to an end on June 30, 2024. The Malian forward, who joined Sharjah FC in September 2023, will become a free agent on July 1, allowing him to sign with a club of his choosing.

The relationship between Marega and Sharjah FC has concluded after a single season. Marega, who arrived at the club in September 2023, will not extend his contract beyond its expiration date.

During his time with Sharjah FC, he made a significant impact, featuring in 31 matches across all competitions and netting 11 goals, with 7 of those in the league.

As Marega prepares to move on, speculation about his next destination has intensified.

While no official information has been released regarding where he might go next, it is widely believed that he will remain in the Gulf region.

A return to the Saudi Pro League seems a likely possibility for the experienced striker.

Marega is no stranger to Saudi Arabian football, having played for Al Hilal from 2021 to 2023.

His tenure at Al Hilal was marked by considerable success.

During his two seasons with the club, Marega won the AFC Champions League in 2021, secured the Saudi Pro League title in 2022, and added both the Saudi Super Cup and the Saudi Arabian Cup to his list of achievements in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

Marega’s performance at Al Hilal was instrumental in these victories, and his potential return to Saudi Arabia would undoubtedly attract attention from several clubs in the league.

His proven track record and familiarity with the league’s competitive environment make him an appealing prospect for any team looking to bolster their attacking options.

The departure from Sharjah FC marks the end of a chapter for Marega, who will now look to leverage his free agent status to secure a favorable deal.

With his ability to make an immediate impact on the field, clubs in the Gulf region and beyond will likely vie for his signature.

As the transfer window progresses, Marega’s next move will be closely watched by fans and analysts alike.

His decision will not only influence his career trajectory but also have potential implications for the competitive landscape of the league he chooses to join.

In the meantime, Marega remains focused on maintaining his fitness and readiness for the upcoming season.

His experience, skill, and previous accomplishments ensure that wherever he goes, he will be a valuable asset to his new team.
