Senegalese forward Moussa Kanté scored and was named man of the match as Racing Union came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with FC Atert Bissen in the Luxembourg top flight.

The 22-year-old found the net in the 52nd minute during Sunday’s encounter, helping Racing Union begin their comeback in the ninth round of the league campaign.

Kanté’s performance stood out in a closely contested fixture, with the Senegalese striker making his mark at a crucial moment. His goal also continued his progress in Luxembourg, where he has been contributing to Racing Union’s attacking play this season.

The former Dakar Sacré Cœur player has now scored twice in nine league appearances. He has also registered four assists, underlining his involvement in creating opportunities for his teammates as well as finding the net himself.

His latest display adds to an encouraging run of performances for the young forward, who has continued to develop his game after previously spending time with Olympique Lyonnais’ reserve team.

Sunday’s draw against Bissen provided another opportunity for him to demonstrate his value to the team. Although Racing Union had to recover from a two-goal deficit, Kanté’s strike helped change the course of the match and set the stage for the eventual 2-2 result.

Being named man of the match capped a productive afternoon for the Senegalese forward, whose contribution was central to Racing Union’s recovery.

With two goals and four assists from nine league appearances, Kanté will look to maintain his form as the Luxembourg championship continues. His latest performance further highlights his growing influence at Racing Union as he seeks to build on his contributions in the remaining fixtures.
