Moussa Diaby keen on Inter Milan move

French winger of Malian descent, Moussa Diaby, has reportedly informed Inter Milan of his desire to join the Italian giants, increasing pressure on Saudi club Al-Ittihad as negotiations over his future gather pace.

According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 26-year-old has communicated his willingness to move to the San Siro and urged Inter to reach an agreement with his current club before the transfer window closes.

No official agreement has yet been announced, but reports suggest discussions between the two clubs are ongoing.

Diaby keen on European return

The former Bayer Leverkusen winger is believed to be eager to return to European football after just one season in Saudi Arabia.

Reports in Italy claim that Diaby sees Inter’s sporting project and the opportunity to compete in the UEFA Champions League as key factors in his decision.

The winger is said to have made it clear that he wants his next challenge to come in one of Europe’s top leagues, with Inter emerging as his preferred destination.

Inter working on deal

Inter are understood to have identified Diaby as one of their main targets as they seek to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Negotiations with Al-Ittihad are reportedly under way, although details of the financial package being discussed have not been made public.

The Serie A side are expected to rely on the player’s desire to leave in an attempt to lower the Saudi club’s demands.

Diaby’s approval of the move is seen as a significant step, but the transfer remains dependent on Inter reaching an agreement with Al-Ittihad.

Al-Ittihad face difficult decision

Al-Ittihad invested heavily to sign Diaby and now face the prospect of losing one of their marquee players after only a short spell at the club.

The Saudi side have yet to comment publicly on the reports, leaving uncertainty over whether they are prepared to sanction the player’s departure.

For now, Inter’s pursuit continues behind the scenes, with the final outcome likely to depend on whether the two clubs can find common ground before the end of the transfer window.
