Speculation over Jose Mourinho’s return to Real Madrid has intensified, with fresh reports indicating the veteran coach has already outlined firm views on key dressing room figures as the club navigates a turbulent end to the season.

Madrid’s campaign has unravelled following their failure to secure both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, triggering internal tensions that have spilled into the public domain.

Reports of a dressing room altercation involving Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, coupled with growing fan unrest directed at Kylian Mbappé, have compounded the sense of instability.

Amid this backdrop, Mourinho has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Álvaro Arbeloa, whose short-term tenure appears set to conclude at the end of the season. Discussions involving Mourinho’s long-time representative Jorge Mendes are believed to be progressing, with indications that the Portuguese tactician is open to a second spell at the Santiago Bernabéu.
