Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho, former coach of AS Roma, has drawn parallels between Al Ahly football club and Spain’s Real Madrid.
In a televised statement to “On Time Sports,” Mourinho stated, “Al Ahly is like Real Madrid in terms of achievements and titles, competing globally in the Club World Cup against other top clubs.”
He further added, “There was Aboutrika, the best player in my opinion, whom I admired greatly.”
Mourinho continued, likening the Al Ahly vs. Zamalek derby to clashes such as Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
“Some of my coaching friends have previously managed Zamalek and had a fantastic journey with the club,” he remarked.
