Mostafa Tarek switches to Tanta SC after Bank El Ahly exit

Egyptian attacking midfielder Mostafa Tarek has joined Tanta SC from Bank El Ahly on a free transfer, beginning a new chapter in his career with the Egyptian club.

Tarek, 25, completed the move on 14 August 2026 after leaving Bank El Ahly. The right-footed midfielder is listed as an attacking midfielder and becomes part of Tanta’s squad following a season in which he was also registered with Pharco FC.

The Egypt-born player spent the 2025-26 campaign at Pharco on loan from Bank El Ahly. That temporary spell ended on 30 June 2026, when he returned to his parent club before completing his switch to Tanta.

Tarek made one appearance in the Egyptian League Cup during the 2025-26 season, playing the full 90 minutes. His recorded competitive involvement also includes listings for the Relegation Playoff, Premier League, Egypt Cup and Championship Playoff.

His move to Tanta follows two spells connected with Bank El Ahly. He first joined the club from El Dakhlia on 21 September 2024, also on a free transfer, before moving to Pharco the following summer.

Tarek’s time at El Dakhlia began in February 2024, when he joined after a period without a club. Earlier in his career, he had been linked with Zamalek’s under-21 side before also spending time without a club.

The transfer gives Tanta an attacking midfield option with experience of Egyptian domestic football and a recent loan spell in the top-flight set-up. Tarek’s career history has included moves between Egyptian clubs, with his latest change completed without a transfer fee.

He has joined Tanta at the age of 25, with the move recorded on 14 August 2026. The transfer from Bank El Ahly to Tanta SC is complete on a free transfer.
