Mostafa Mohamed speaks out after 1 million euro move to Konyaspor

Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed has broken his silence after completing a 1 million euro move from FC Nantes to Turkish side Konyaspor on a three-year deal.

The forward, known as “The Pharaoh,” chose to keep his words brief upon arrival in Konya, preferring to let his future performances speak for themselves.

Speaking at the airport ahead of the club’s official announcement, Mohamed said: “I won’t say anything now. I’ll answer on the pitch.” The 29-year-old is eager to make an immediate impact in the Super Lig, where Konyaspor currently sit at the bottom of the table.

Despite the club’s precarious position, Mohamed expressed confidence in his new surroundings. “I feel very comfortable. Konyaspor is a great club. I want to give my best for this club. That’s all,” he added, outlining his ambition to help turn the team’s fortunes around.

The transfer ends a prolonged period of tension between Mohamed and Nantes’ management. Relations had deteriorated after the club reduced his salary following their relegation to Ligue 2, prompting the striker to miss pre-season training. He was later sanctioned and sent to the reserve squad before this exit provided relief for both parties.
