Mostafa Mohamed could be on the move again, with Greek giants Panathinaikos showing strong interest in the Egyptian forward.
The 27-year-old striker, who has become a key figure for Nantes, is being closely followed as the French side struggles to steady their campaign.
French newspaper L’Equipe reported that Panathinaikos is eager to sign Mohamed, hoping the presence of his former Nantes teammates Pedro Chirivella and Alban Lafont could help tempt him to Greece. Nantes, however, have placed a 10 million euro price tag on the player.
Mohamed has impressed since joining Nantes from Galatasaray in 2022, scoring 21 goals across three seasons. His current contract with the French club runs until the summer of 2027, which gives Nantes some leverage in negotiations.
The Canaries have endured a poor start to the Ligue 1 season, losing to Paris Saint-Germain and Strasbourg in their opening two matches. Mohamed’s reputation continues to grow, especially after helping Egypt win silver at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
