Mostafa Kahraba switches to Chattogram City after Fakirapool YC exit
Egyptian attacking midfielder Mostafa Kahraba has joined Chattogram City from Fakirapool YC on a free transfer, beginning a new chapter in Bangladesh football at the age of 38.
Kahraba completed the move on 24 August 2026 and will play in the Bangladesh Football League with his new club. The transfer follows a single season with Fakirapool YC, whom he joined from Rahmatganj in August 2025, also on a free transfer.
The experienced midfielder has recorded 108 appearances in the Bangladesh Football League, contributing eight goals and 29 assists. He has also played in Bangladesh’s Premier League, Federation Cup and Egypt Cup, giving him a playing history across several domestic competitions.
Kahraba operates primarily as an attacking midfielder and is right-footed. His career in Bangladesh has included spells with Fakirapool YC, Rahmatganj, Brothers Union, CTG Abahani, Abahani Ltd., AC. Sangha, Uttar Baridhara and Arambagh KS.
He first moved to Bangladesh in 2019, joining TC Sports Club from El Horreya. Before that, he had played for El Shorta and Petrojet in Egypt, having left Wadi Degla for Petrojet in August 2014.
His recent club changes have all been permanent free transfers, with the latest move taking him from Fakirapool YC to Chattogram City. The switch adds another established name to the midfielder’s long career, which has included more than a century of appearances in the Bangladesh Football League.
Kahraba’s move to Chattogram City was completed on 24 August 2026, with no transfer fee paid to Fakirapool YC.
