Mostafa Hamada: Egypt winger joins Qanah in return to Premier League club

Egypt winger Mostafa Hamada has joined Qanah from Modern Sport, returning to the Premier League club on 12 August 2026.

The 25-year-old left-sided attacker previously represented Qanah during the 2025-26 season after moving there from El Sekka SC on loan in February. That spell ended on 30 June, before Hamada joined Modern Sport on 1 July.

Hamada’s latest move brings him back to a club where he made a contribution in domestic competition last season. He recorded one assist in nine Premier League appearances, playing 144 minutes in total, and added another assist in two Egypt Cup appearances across 81 minutes.

The El Hamool-born player operates primarily as a left winger and is right-footed. He stands 1.75m tall and has spent much of his recent career moving between clubs in Egypt, including Modern Sport, El Sekka SC and Qanah.

Hamada joined El Sekka SC from Modern Sport in July 2025, before his loan switch to Qanah several months later. He returned to Modern Sport at the end of that temporary spell and has now completed another move to Qanah.

Earlier in his career, Hamada played for Pharco FC, Proxy FC and Kafr El Sheikh. He moved to Pharco from Kafr El Sheikh in September 2021 for a fee of €120,000, and later spent time at Proxy FC on loan.

His return gives Qanah a player with recent experience of the club and Premier League football. Hamada’s record last season included two assists across his league and cup appearances, with both contributions coming in domestic competitions.

The transfer was completed on 12 August, with Hamada switching from Modern Sport to Qanah in Egypt’s Premier League.
