Mosimane’s Bafana Bafana complete winning international window

Bafana Bafana secured three victories from three matches during the international window, earning a perfect result as Pitso Mosimane began his second spell as South Africa coach.

The national team return home on Tuesday with renewed confidence and sit top of Group D in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Their position gives them a strong opportunity to reach next year’s tournament, which will be hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania under the Pamoja banner.

South Africa’s qualifying group also includes Guinea, Eritrea and Kenya.

A notable achievement during the window was their victory over top-ranked Egypt. South Africa managed that result with a squad largely made up of players on the fringes of the national team.
