Moses Simon and Akor Adams score to power Nigeria to see off Iran in 2-1 win
Nigeria secured a 2-1 victory over Iran national football team in an international friendly on Friday at the Mardan Sports Complex in Antalya, Türkiye.
The Super Eagles took the lead in the sixth minute when Moses Simon finished from the centre of the box following a precise pass from Samuel Chukwueze, giving Nigeria an early advantage.
Nigeria extended their lead shortly after the restart in the 51st minute. Akor Adams struck from close range after a setup by Ademola Lookman, putting the Super Eagles comfortably ahead.
Mehdi Taremi scored in the 67th minute to give Iran hope of a comeback, though the Super Eagles managed to hold on for the win.
Both teams made several changes as the match progressed but there were no goals in the remainder of the game.
