Morocco’s success anchored on the collective – Fouzi Lekjaa
Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, emphasised that the priority for the national team lies in institutional development and the continuity of the “Lions” project, amid speculation over potential changes to the technical staff.
Speaking at a press conference following Thursday’s government council meeting, Lekjaa stated, “Our country today has a place among the greats in the world of football – we are eighth globally – and we aspire to achieve a great accomplishment in the next World Cup.”
He added, “The ‘Lions’ team will always move towards the best thanks to the policies of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, along with the support and passion of the Moroccan public.”
Lekjaa concluded by assuring fans and stakeholders that clarity on upcoming developments will be provided soon, signalling that the focus remains firmly on the long-term growth and success of Moroccan football rather than on individual figures.
