Morocco’s professional football league has been ranked as the second-best league in both Africa and the Arab world, according to the latest classification released by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics.

The Egyptian league topped the standings to claim first place across Africa and the Arab region, while South Africa’s domestic league followed closely in third position. On the global scale, Morocco’s professional league was placed 39th overall, reflecting its steady progress compared to other leagues worldwide.
The league’s strong showing has been bolstered by the presence of several high-profile players, with renowned names such as Hakim Ziyech, Noureddine Amrabat, Khalid Boutaib and Sam Ben Yedder currently featuring in the competition.
Their involvement has helped raise the league’s quality and international appeal, further reinforcing its status among Africa’s elite domestic championships.
