Moroccan goalkeeper Anas Zniti is on the brink of achieving a milestone that has long escaped him, as he continues to shape an already distinguished career now with RS Berkane.

The experienced goalkeeper stands just two matches away from lifting the CAF Champions League trophy, a title that proved unattainable during his successful spell with Raja Casablanca.

Berkane strengthened their push with a hard-fought 1-0 away victory over Al-Hilal Omdurman on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Kigali.

Zniti delivered a commanding performance between the posts, producing a series of crucial saves to preserve a clean sheet and underline his reputation as a dependable figure in high-stakes encounters.

Despite a career decorated with silverware, the Champions League has remained the one major honour missing from Zniti’s collection. His years with Raja Casablanca brought him close on multiple occasions, but the coveted title always slipped just out of reach.

His continental record, however, remains impressive. Zniti has lifted the CAF Confederation Cup four times, first with Maghreb Fez in 2011, before adding three more titles with Raja Casablanca in 2018, 2021 and 2024, highlighting his consistency on the African stage.

He has also secured the CAF Super Cup twice, claiming his first in 2012 with Maghreb Fez against Espérance de Tunis in Tunisia, and his second in 2019 with Raja Casablanca in Doha against the same opponents.

On the domestic front, Zniti played a leading role in guiding Raja Casablanca to league titles in the 2019/2020 and 2023/2024 seasons, with the latter achieved without a single defeat. He also boasts three Throne Cup triumphs, winning once with Maghreb Fez in 2011 and twice with Raja in 2017 and 2024.

His influence extended to Arab competitions as well, notably in 2021 when he helped Raja secure the Mohammed VI Champions Cup in a dramatic final against Al-Ittihad Club, where he stood out during the penalty shootout.

At the international level, Zniti has excelled with Morocco’s local national team, winning the African Nations Championship in both 2018 and 2020, while also earning recognition as the tournament’s best goalkeeper.

In the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League, Zniti and his RS Berkane side will lock horns with AS FAR.
